statement of intent

 In my work I intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate in representation, audience, industry, and media language. I'am planning to use a traditional 80s indie rock look from the 80/90s magazines, using a mix of bright but dull colours. My 1st model will be a male and will be wearing baggy jeans with a top and flannel. The 2nd model will be a female and will be wearing baggy jeans with a top and a leather jacket. The magazine will be targeted towards a young audience between the ages of 16-25 that have an intrest in indie rock music, My magazine will be targeting them because the models will be young and it will be showing that they are new artists, my cover will also fit the indie rock theme. The models on the front cover will be doing poses that fit the indie rock theme and they will be wearing stereotypical clothing making the theme of the magazine obvious. The concept value of the magazine will be about supporting new artists to promote their music and helping them through their career. The photos i take of the models will be a medium long shot showing a fun but serious look; by doing this it will be aimed at the targeted audience and show the genre they are looking for because of the way the picture was taken and the angle they are taken at.

 In my website i intend to link my media products to demonstrate my knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent of my media production by keeping the colour scheme similar to my magazine to show that they are made and produced by the same company. My website will also include a video montage from festivals and concerts to show the audience what its like to be at one. The website will also include a concert page where the audience can view the upcoming concerts, where they are at and also purchase a ticket. The website includes a home page where the audience are given a brief understanding of the website and what they are about, there will also be a contact page where the audience can contact the magazine company. The visual elements will keep the audience hooked through the colours used and the video montage that i would have put together.
